The advantage of performing different sets of progress is that it enables you to see the project from basic to complete and review it. With each of these sets, it’s much easier for you to make modifications and see the additions as you understand the progression from previous sets. It is the process of a bottom-up/building block… And it’s functioning extremely well. Why carry out the drawings? Simple; there is no better way for you than on paper to see and experience your project first. This is where you make improvements to (perhaps, for your lifestyle, you need electrical receptacles placed differently, switches in different locations, heights changed to accommodate your physical characteristics, etc.). Most significantly, the design and look that you thought you were suddenly in love with is not what you had in mind at all – now that you see it on paper! Imagine what would happen if the project were constructed and this discovery was made! And you’re stuck now. There is absolutely no better or cheaper way than on paper to make modifications! The City also almost always requires drawings in large format (minimum 24″ x 36″). Attention! Careful! … With respect to drawings, there is a very alarming and disturbing trend that has developed. “This trend is to use computer programmes that produce beautiful colour drawings or “renderings” in 3 dimensional (3D). How could you say that this could possibly be bad?
